The core business changed in 1976 when Reico Kitchen & Bath became a wholesale distributor of Merillat cabinets. Through innovative services such as in-depth inventories, next day delivery and world class customer service, Reico experienced tremendous growth and quickly became the supplier of choice to industry professionals.

By the mid-1990s, the traditional distribution model was becoming obsolete as home centers proliferated and manufacturers began selling direct to contractors. As a result of these changing dynamics, Reico Kitchen & Bath became a pioneer in the “whotail” distribution model. Under this model, Reico Kitchen & Bath would operate retail-style showrooms that would be open to both “walk-in” retail customers and homeowners referred to Reico Kitchen and Bath by builders and remodeling contractors.

Reico Kitchen & Bath opened its first retail showroom in 1996 in Springfield, providing added value to its builder and contractor customers and giving consumers access to the same products and services that professionals had trusted for 20 years.

Reico Kitchen & Bath now operates 17 showrooms in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania.
