In general, a project follows certain prescribed steps:
- Pre-planning and information gathering
- Planning and budgeting
- Meet with a designer
- Design process
- Site visit
- Final revisions to design, contract signed
- Materials ordered
- Apply for permits if required
- Materials delivered and inspected
- Tear out existing room and make changes as specified
- Rough in plumbing and electrical, permit inspections
- Repair or patch drywall; install cabinets
- Install countertop
- Complete plumbing
- Complete electrical work
- Install appliances
- Final walk-through with designer and installer
